Ambassador calls for partnership

Fife’s inaugural Tourism Ambassador, Debbie Taylor, Managing Director of the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa gave a vigorous endorsement to Fife’s visitor economy at the Welcome to Fife Pavilion in July.

“Fife is a world class destination,” Debbie told an audience of leading fi gures within the tourism sector.

“This is an excellent time to grow and the opportunities before us are very exciting.

“Partnership between the public and private sectors will be key to making this

happen with the Fife Tourism Partnership being able to play a central role.”

Debbie made time for her presentation during a hectic week for the Old Course

Hotel as it was the offi cial Hotel of the Open Championship and situated within the Pay gates for the fi rst time.

“It’s been a huge challenge for our team here,” she refl ected, “And the enthusiasm, focus and professionalism that we’ve delivered has demonstrated that Fife has world class facilities and should aim to be at

the forefront of Scotland’s tourism offer.”
