Turbine signals project landmark

A key milestone in the Hydrogen Office project at Methil has been reached with the successful installation of the Office’s new wind turbine.

Derek Mitchell, Project Manager explained the importance of the Turbine. “The wind turbine is central to the Hydrogen Office project and in light of the tragic events in the Gulf of Mexico, there has never been a more pressing time to develop alternatives to Scotland’s reliance on oil and gas. Hydrogen is one of these alternatives, allowing the storage of energy from variable renewable sources like wind energy, for periods when the wind is not blowing.”
