Carnegie College is partnering with power giant Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) and Energy and Utility Skills to develop high-quality Modern Apprenticeship training to support the electricity generation, transmission and distribution industry in Scotland.
The college successfully submitted a training proposal to SSE covering electrical and mechanical skills for their Modern Apprentices up to and including N/SVQ level 3.
Jim McPhillimy, Scottish and Southern Energy’s Group Services Director, said, “This is an investment in our future. SSE is delighted to be working with Carnegie to offer a defined and innovative programme which could lead to a very bright future indeed in Scotland’s energy industry.”
